FRAG Ireland Bags 2nd At Take Aim Competition 2009

Being the only Filipino group in the event,  FRAG fielded  3 teams namely, Tallaght Team, Cellbridge-Lucan Team and Dublin Team.

Of the 3 Teams only Tallaght Team qualified the elimination round. There were 4 scenarios in the competition: – CQB/Urban Warfare – Woodland Assault – Hill Assault – Bunker Assault

At the end of the day,  the Russian Federation Airsoft Team grabbed 1st Place while FRAG Tallaght earned 2nd place and a Team from Northern Ireland got the 3rd place.

FRAG Ireland’s Fall Activity

I received an email from FRAG Dublin’s “Wanderer757” regarding their activity last month at Dublin, Ireland. More power to FRAG Ireland!

Here I am again sending a report of the group’s activity here with in Dublin, Ireland.

Last Sunday the 28th of October 2009 the group conducted a Charity Event for the benefit of our “kababayan” affected by the recent 5 consecutive typhoons which affected a number of people and entire communities in the main land of Luzon.

The event were participated by Officer’s and members of the group donating cash and clothing for mentioned recipients back home. Same is still ongoing till the 30th of November where 2-3  “Balikbayan” boxes will be sent to the Philippines courtesy of a local handling cargo manned by fellow members . Cash donations will be turned-over to representatives of ABS-CBN here in Dublin in the days to come.

This event is only one of the charity events organized by the group. Charity or helping others is part of the core values of the group’s by-laws accompanied with fun and enjoying the game of airsoft.

In the days to come future activities are still in the pipe line. As winter is fast approaching our outdoor activities will be limited a sort of hibernation as cold is in the air.

Many thanks for your good self’s time.

Respectfully,

wanderer757

FRAG Ireland Plays For Charity

Force Recon Airsoft Group – Ireland, organized an airsoft event for the benefit of those who were affected by super typhoon “Ondoy” which brought a month’s worth of rainfall to Metro Manila and nearby areas in just a few hours, causing severe flooding which resulted in the loss of many lives and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people. Eight days later, Typhoon “Pepeng” struck the northern regions causing more damage. Kudos to FRAG Ireland for this generous activity. From airsoft gaming to community service, FRAG Dublin, Ireland sent more than 20 boxes of assorted goods to the flood victims of Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. Thousands of families were displaced and crops and properties worth millions of pesos damaged when floods caused by incessant rains hit the region last January 2009. Cagayan de Oro’s Force Recon Airsoft Group President Bobby Ludeña delivered the goods through  ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya, who were covering the disaster and at the same time, bringing relief to the people affected. A “big” thank you to our brothers in Ireland.
